Virtual Training Suite: Internet for Historians
A new edition of the 'Internet for Historians' online tutorial has been released in the intute: Virtual Training Suite.
The tutorial is an interactive step-by-step guide created to help historians make the best use of Internet resources in their academic work.
Users are taken on a survey of online resources useful for study and research. The tutorial then provides advice on finding further resources, and gives tips on planning effective search strategies. The third section teaches techniques for evaluating websites. Finally, the tutorial presents specific examples of how the Internet can meet the needs of individual users. Quizzes and exercises help consolidate what is learnt.
