National Museums Scotland Library Catalogue

The library catalogue of the National Museums of Scotland is now available online. The library is the major large-scale museum library in Scotland and uniquely reflects the history, object collections, research, and activities of the National Museums Scotland. Founded orginally in 1781 by the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, it is a modern research collection, providing a service which supports the work of our staff.
Most of the collection is based at the National Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh. Main specialisms include various aspects of Scottish history and culture, archaeology, and world-wide decorative arts.
The Library collections are available to the general public for reference only.
