National Art Library: Book Moves

One of the National Art Library's stores is being closed as part of the V&A’s building works and development plans. The Library will therefore be undertaking major storage moves throughout March 2007 and this may result in delays in delivering some requests for books, by as much as 24 hours.
Since different collections will be unavailable at different times, Readers, especially those from outside of London, are encouraged to take advantage of the Advance Ordering Service, and pre-order a maximum of six items by telephone or by email two days in advance of their visit.
In the Reading Rooms, the librarians will be happy to assist and advise.
In particular, the Renier Collection of children's books will be inaccessible whilst it is moved to improved storage. From April it will be available through The Blythe House Archive & Library Reading Room, Blythe House, 23 Blythe Road, London W14 0QX. Telephone: +44 (0)20 7603 1514 and email: archive@vam.ac.uk
