Japanese Cloisonne

Cloisonné is a way of enamelling an object by using fine wires to delineate the decorative areas into which enamel paste is applied before the object is fired and polished. This microsite from the Victoria and Albert Musaeum provides information on techniques, masters of the art, and beautiful examples from the Edwin Davies collection.
